    Frequently asked questions

Are you planning on shutting down because of Covid and the political situation?

No, our entire school community, founders, and teachers are committed to providing education in Myanmar. We will continue to do everything possible to continue PAIS in the current situation and to continue to expand according to the Promise school vision.

Will you be teaching in-person this next year?

We hope to be in-person as soon as possible. However, we know that it will not be possible for first term due the current situation and difficulty bringing teachers into the country. We will begin the year online and then reevaluate each term, but in-person classes will be resumed as soon and it is safe and logistically possible to do so.

Will international teachers be available for the next academic year?

Yes, many of our teachers have been prevented reentry into Myanmar due to the current situation. However, we are staffed for the next year with a normal composition of Myanmar national and international teachers.

Do you provide lunches for students?

Yes, our school provides catered lunches for student through a Korean catering company at an additional cost.

Do you provide transportation for students?

Yes, we provide a bus and ferry service for students at an additional cost. The cost and availability are subject to the distance from the school, demand, and student pickup/drop off locations.

What qualifications do your teachers have?

Because our teaching staff are mostly international teachers they have a wide-range of internationally recognised teaching qualifications. Please see the “At-a-Glance” page for more detail.

Which universities can students be admitted into after graduation?

Our students can be accepted into universities around the world based on the prestigious and well-recognized Cambridge qualifications. Our school has had very few students enrolled in year 13 because of how young the school is, but we have students currently studying at universities in the US, South Korea, and Thailand. We have partnerships and associations with universities in the US and South Korea, but we have relationships with universities around the world.

Do you offer a discount for multiple students from the same family?

Yes, we do provide discounts for families with multiple students enrolled in the school. Please speak with the admissions team for further specific details.

Do you offer scholarships or financial assistance?

Yes, our school provides a limited number of reduced fee plans based on specific criteria. Unfortunately, we can not provide full scholarships for students at this time.
